Now that you have confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, this manual will show you the three steps to initiate your new life in Christ: repentance, baptism in water, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Word teaches that these three steps go together; God never mentioned waiting periods between these. On the day of Pentecost, the Lord used Peter to speak to the Jews and tell them that they needed to repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Repentance means to stop in our tracks; to make a 180 turn and walk back to God. Baptism in water is to identify with Jesus in His death and resurrection.
